Builder Calculator Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Builder Calculator handles information involved in construction calculations, project materials, supplier quotes, feedback, exports, and in-app purchases. Because Builder Calculator is offline-first, most data stays on your device.

1. Scope and data controller

This policy applies to the Builder Calculator mobile application and its official website. Builder Calculator is developed and operated by Tianjin Chenwei Technology Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

Builder Calculator is an offline-first construction calculation and project-material tool. We follow purpose limitation, data minimization, and transparency principles and do not sell personal information through this product.

2. Information handled by Builder Calculator

Builder Calculator currently has no user accounts, cloud sync, or server-side project storage. The following information is entered by you or created while using the app and remains in its local database:

Calculations and settingsMeasurements, units, waste percentages, results, history, language, theme, precision, and the privacy-policy version and timestamp you accepted.
Project and commercial dataProject names and notes, material quantities, suppliers, product links, prices, taxes, labor, and customer quote parameters. Your entries may include customer or supplier information.
Purchase statusThe Lifetime Pro product identifier and purchase or restoration status. Apple or Google processes payment-card details; Builder Calculator does not receive them.
ExportsProcurement PDFs, CSV files, and customer quote PDFs you choose to generate. They are passed to system file or sharing controls only after your action.

When you submit feedback, we receive its category, message, optional email, a random anonymous installation ID, app version, platform, language, and limited screen metadata. To verify Lifetime Pro, we process the product ID, Apple transaction ID, anonymous installation ID, app version, and platform.

Builder Calculator currently includes no advertising SDK, behavioral analytics SDK, third-party crash analytics, location, contacts, camera, microphone, or background tracking. Your construction measurements and project records are not uploaded to our servers.

3. Why information is processed

  • Perform fraction, measurement, area, volume, and construction-material calculations.
  • Maintain history, project links, and material rollups.
  • Compare supplier quotes and calculate project costs and customer quotes.
  • Create, save, or share PDFs and CSV files when you ask.
  • Receive and address problems, feature requests, and billing feedback you submit.
  • Record the accepted policy version so material updates can be presented again.
  • Complete, restore, and verify Lifetime Pro purchases through the applicable app store and Chenwi App Services.

4. Device permissions and system capabilities

  • Network access: used to query, purchase, and restore products through Apple App Store or Google Play, verify membership and submit feedback through Chenwi App Services, and view the website.
  • Files and sharing: used only when you export, save, print, or share a procurement list, quote, or CSV through a system picker.
  • Local storage: used for calculations, projects, settings, consent, the anonymous installation ID, and purchase status inside the app sandbox.

5. Third-party services and sharing

Chenwi App ServicesOperated by us to receive feedback, cache membership verification by anonymous installation ID, and verify transactions with Apple. It does not receive construction measurements or project records.
Apple App Store / StoreKitProduct lookup, purchase, refund, and restoration on iOS, subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices.
Google Play BillingProduct lookup, purchase, and restoration on Android, subject to Google Play terms and privacy practices.
System share and print servicesReceive an exported file only when you choose a destination, app, recipient, storage location, or printer.

We do not disclose local project data to unrelated third parties except with your separate authorization, where required by law, or where necessary to protect life and property.

6. Retention and deletion

Local data remains until you delete the relevant record in the app, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Device backups may retain app data according to Apple, Google, or device-vendor settings.

Server-side feedback and membership verification records are retained as needed to resolve issues, maintain purchase entitlements, perform security audits, and meet legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized. You may use the email below to request access to or deletion of information associated with a feedback email address.

You can delete individual calculations and projects. Exported files must be deleted from their destination separately. Builder Calculator has no cloud account, so there is no separate Builder Calculator account to close.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Review this policy and the Terms before accepting the first-launch privacy gate; do not continue if you disagree.
  • View, edit, or delete calculations, projects, and commercial data stored by the app.
  • Stop using the app, delete exports, uninstall it, or contact us to request information, explanation, deletion assistance, or to make a complaint.
  • If we add cloud services, analytics, or new data practices, we will update this notice and obtain renewed consent where required.

8. Security

We rely on app sandboxing, least-privilege access, code signing, and operating-system protections. After an export leaves Builder Calculator, its security depends on the destination and recipients you choose.

No storage system can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us if you discover a Builder Calculator security issue.

9. Children

Builder Calculator is designed for construction professionals and is not directed to children. Users under 18 should use it with a parent or guardian. Do not place unrelated information about minors in project notes or exports.

10. Policy updates

We may update this policy when product capabilities, third-party services, data practices, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be presented prominently in the app or on this website. A version change can require renewed in-app consent.
